Think your dog's the cutest? Prove it by snapping a pic of your pup and submitting it to our Doggone Selfies contest! We'll post all the submissions and then you'll have the chance to vote on your favorites.

One winner will receive a barking good prize!

"COME MEET K-9 AXEL!"

August 18th | 6:00-7:30pm

Warren County Sheriff Jack Simpson and his K-9 partner will be making a special appearance at the library! Watch as Axel shows us how he sniffs outs criminals to keep us safe. A special obedience demonstration and pictures with Axel to follow!

Appropriate for all ages!

It's A Perfect Day For A...

PICNIC COOK-OFF!

A PROGRESSIVE COOKING EVENT

Tuesday, May 19th | 6:30-8:00pm

Think you have the best best potato salad around? What about the best brownies? Sandwiches? Show us what you got by entering into this month's Progressive Cooking Event. Our theme is "picnics", so any dish you might serve on a checkered blanket in the park on a sunny day is fair game!

Competitors will taste-test one another's dishes, 
scores will be tallied, and prizes will be won!

The stars of this month's "Progressive Cooking" contest is brunch! Not quite breakfast, not quite lunch, brunch is the best of both worlds! Enter your BEST recipe in this month's cook-off!

Winter arrived this week and if you're anything like us here at the library you're just holing up until Jack Frost has left town. Let us help stave off those shivers!

October 18th - 19th | REGISTRATION BEGINS October 1st

 

Are you looking to get in the mood for autumn?

Then sign up to participate in this year's Great Pumpkin Challenge: a week-long pumpkin decorating contest hosted here at the library!

 

THE RULES ARE SIMPLE!

 

1. Register at the Circulation Desk or

via telephone* beginning October 1st.

 

2. With friends, family, or by your own imagination,

decorate a pumpkin to your heart's desire!

 

3. NO CARVINGS ALLOWED.

Summer Reading Program Finale!

 

 

Another year of summer reading fun has come and gone as our "Dig Into Reading" and "Beneath the Surface" programs come to a close. We hope that you uncovered some valuable stories and buried treasures as you went on your reading journey to the center of the earth and back. We know we sure enjoyed seeing all of your smiling faces at all of our programs and activities!

 

Don't worry though: the library fun isn't over --- in fact, it never ends! We have programs all year around for all ages and are always looking to make your reading experience more enjoyable.

We'll be awarding prizes, and eating "mud buddies" and drinking "worm juice". You'll take part in an archaeological team to dig up ancient bones, so you can construct an amazing dinosaur. Love Your Library Month!

February is Love Your Library Month! And we would like you to help us celebrate! All throughout the month of February, we will have paper hearts available on which

you will be able to sign your name to let us know just how much your love your library. Afterwards, we will be displaying them throughout the library!

To let you know just how much we appreciate you, we will be hosting our first ever Great Kiss Contest! Simply guess the correct number of Hershey Kisses in our guessing jar and you win the entire jar of chocolate kisses!

PUMPKIN CHALLENGE

 

 Beginning October 12th, visitors to the Salem Township Public Library

can drop off their entries for this year's Great Pumpkin Challenge! All you, your

family, and your friends have to do is sign-up at the circulation desk, then dress up and decorate* a pumpkin and enter it in this year's contest. Visitors will then vote for

their favorite entries - the pumpkin with the most votes wins!
